    General

    Where is Canton Jewelry located?

    We are located in Canton Marketplace at 1810 Cumming Highway, Suite 1120, Canton, GA 30114. Free parking is available right in front of the store. You can reach us at (770) 720-1965.

    Do I need an appointment to visit?

    Walk-ins are always welcome. Appointments are recommended for engagement ring consultations, custom design conversations, and bringing in items for repair, so we can give you our full attention without a wait.

    How long has Canton Jewelry been in business?

    We have been family-owned and operated in Canton since 2003. Owner Ali Aydin and our team have served Cherokee County and the surrounding area for over twenty years.

    What brands and products do you carry?

    We carry GIA and EGL certified natural and lab grown diamonds, designer engagement rings and wedding bands, fine jewelry across every category, and watches by Citizen, Seiko, Bulova, and Rolex. We also build custom pieces in-house and buy gold, diamonds, and estate jewelry.

    Do you ship outside of Georgia?

    Yes. We ship throughout the United States, fully insured. Most pieces ship within 48 hours of purchase.

    Can I sell my old jewelry to Canton Jewelry?

    Yes. We buy gold, diamonds, and estate jewelry. Bring your pieces in and we will evaluate them on the spot and make you an offer. No appointment required, though one helps cut down on wait time.

    Bridal & Engagement

    How much should I spend on an engagement ring?

    Spend what feels right for you. The old "two or three months of salary" rule is outdated. We work with every budget and will help you build the best possible ring at whatever number works for your life. Honest guidance, no upselling.

    Can I design a custom engagement ring?

    Yes. Our master jeweler designs and builds custom engagement rings in-house. Bring us a sketch, a Pinterest board, photos of styles you love, or just a vague idea, and we will sit down with you to turn it into something one-of-a-kind.

    What if I do not know her ring size?

    You have a few good options. Borrow one of her rings and bring it in so we can measure it. Or pick a size you think is close, and we will resize it for you for free after the proposal on most rings purchased from us.

    How long does it take to size or set my ring?

    Standard sizing on most rings takes 5 to 7 business days. Setting a center stone in a new mounting typically takes 1 to 2 weeks. Custom rings designed from scratch take 4 to 8 weeks from design approval.

    Do you carry wedding bands for both partners?

    Yes. We carry a full selection of women's and men's wedding bands in gold, platinum, and alternative metals. We can also design custom bands to match an existing engagement ring or build a matching set from scratch.

    Can you engrave the inside of a ring?

    Yes. Most rings can be engraved in-house before pickup. Names, dates, initials, short phrases, even handwriting. Ask us about it when you order.

    What if she does not like the ring I picked?

    It happens. We allow exchanges or store credit within 30 days of purchase on stock rings in their original condition. Custom pieces are final sale, but if a custom ring needs an adjustment, we will work with you on it.

    Diamonds

    Are your diamonds certified?

    Yes. Every loose diamond we sell comes with independent certification from the GIA, EGL, or IGI. The certification documents the diamond's exact carat, color, clarity, and cut grade, so you know exactly what you are buying.

    What is the difference between lab grown and natural diamonds?

    They are chemically and physically identical. The differences come down to origin and price. Natural diamonds form in the earth over billions of years and hold their resale value better. Lab grown diamonds are created in a lab in 2 to 6 weeks and cost roughly 60 to 80 percent less for the same specs.

    What are the 4 Cs?

    The 4 Cs are Cut, Color, Clarity, and Carat. They are the four characteristics used to grade a diamond's quality. Cut affects how the diamond sparkles. Color measures how close to colorless the stone is. Clarity grades how few inclusions it has. Carat is the weight of the stone. We walk you through each one so you understand exactly what you are paying for.

    What diamond shapes do you carry?

    All of the popular shapes: round, princess, oval, cushion, emerald, radiant, pear, marquise, asscher, and heart. If we do not have your exact shape and size in stock, we can source it from our certified diamond network, usually within a few days.

    Can I see a diamond in person before I buy it?

    Always. We never ask you to buy a diamond sight unseen. Every loose stone we sell can be viewed in person under proper lighting before you commit. If we are sourcing a specific diamond for you, we bring it in for your inspection first.

    Do you accept diamond trade-ins?

    Yes. We evaluate diamond trade-ins case by case. Bring the diamond and any documentation you have, and we will appraise its current value and apply it toward a new piece. Stones purchased from Canton Jewelry typically qualify for the most favorable trade-up terms.

    Custom Design

    How does custom design work at Canton Jewelry?

    Three steps. First we sit down with you to sketch the concept, working from whatever you bring us, whether it is a Pinterest board, an heirloom, or a napkin drawing. Then our master jeweler builds a digital CAD model so you can see the piece from every angle before any metal is cut. Once you approve the design, the work moves to our bench where the piece is cast, set, polished, and finished by hand.

    How long does a custom piece take to make?

    Typically 4 to 8 weeks from the moment you approve the final design. Simple pieces can be faster. Highly intricate designs or pieces with hard-to-source stones can take longer. We give you a realistic timeline at the start.

    Can you redesign an heirloom piece?

    Yes, and we love this kind of project. We can reuse your stones, your metal, or both, and turn an heirloom you never wear into something you will reach for every day. Bring the piece in and we will walk you through what is possible.

    Can I use my own diamond or gemstone?

    Absolutely. You are welcome to bring your own loose stones, family stones, or stones you have sourced elsewhere. We design and build settings around them.

    How much does a custom piece cost?

    Custom is not necessarily more expensive than buying a stock piece. The final cost depends on the metal, the stones, and the complexity of the design. We give you a clear quote before any work begins, with no surprises along the way.

    Is a deposit required for custom work?

    Yes. A deposit is required at the time you approve the final design, with the balance due at completion. The deposit amount depends on the size of the project and the cost of materials, and we walk you through it in writing before you commit.

    Services & Repairs

    What repairs do you offer?

    Just about everything. Ring sizing, prong retipping, chain repair, stone setting and re-setting, polishing, rhodium plating, pearl and bead restringing, jewelry restoration, engraving, watch battery replacement, and full watch repair. All work is done in-house by our master jeweler.

    How long does a ring resize take?

    Most ring resizes take 5 to 7 business days. More complex resizes, like sizing rings with channel-set stones or eternity bands, may take longer. We give you an exact estimate when you drop the piece off.

    Do you warranty your repair work?

    Yes. All repair work performed at Canton Jewelry is warrantied for 60 days from the completion date. If anything related to the work we performed needs adjustment within that window, bring it back and we take care of it.

    How long do I have to pick up a finished repair?

    Once we notify you that your piece is ready, please pick it up within 45 days. We will reach out by phone or email as soon as the work is complete. If you need more time, just give us a call and we will make arrangements.

    Do you provide jewelry appraisals?

    Yes. We provide written appraisals for insurance and replacement value purposes. Most appraisals can be completed during your visit. For complex pieces or estate appraisals, we may ask you to leave the item with us for a few days.

    Can I get my jewelry cleaned while I wait?

    Yes. Walk in any time during business hours for a complimentary cleaning and inspection. We will steam-clean your piece, check the prongs, and let you know if anything needs attention. It takes just a few minutes.

    Watches

    What watch brands do you carry?

    Citizen, Seiko, Bulova, and Rolex. We carry both new and pre-owned Rolex models. Inventory rotates regularly, so stop in to see what we have in stock right now.

    Do you replace watch batteries?

    Yes. Most watch battery replacements are done while you wait, usually in 15 to 20 minutes. We carry batteries for nearly every common watch movement.

    Do you service Rolex watches?

    Yes. We perform Rolex service in-house, including overhauls, polishing, and band work. Bring your watch in for an evaluation and we will walk you through what it needs and what it will cost.

    Can you resize a watch bracelet?

    Yes. Bracelet sizing on most metal watch bands can be done in-store, usually while you wait. We can also replace leather and rubber straps.

    Do you buy or take pre-owned Rolex on trade?

    Yes. We buy pre-owned Rolex and accept trade-ins toward another timepiece. Bring your watch in with any paperwork and box you have, and we will evaluate it on the spot.

    Our Policies

    What is your return policy?

    Canton Jewelry does not issue cash refunds. Returns within 30 days of purchase are eligible for an exchange or in-store credit, provided the item is in its original, unworn condition with the receipt. Personalized items, custom pieces, special orders, and sale items are final sale.

    Do you offer financing?

    Yes. We offer financing options to qualified customers. Ask us in person for current terms and application details.

    What payment methods do you accept?

    We accept cash, all major credit and debit cards, and approved financing. We do not accept personal checks for purchases over a certain amount, so please ask in advance if you plan to pay by check.

    Is shipping insured?

    Yes. Every piece we ship is fully insured for the full purchase value, with signature required at delivery.

    Do you offer layaway?

    We offer flexible payment arrangements on many pieces. Stop in or call us at (770) 720-1965 and we will walk you through what works for the specific item.

    How do I cancel a special order?

    Special orders and custom requests can be canceled or modified before the order is placed with our supplier or production has begun. Once a custom piece is in production or a special order has shipped from our supplier, cancellations are not possible.
